Welcome to my blog.I am a bird lover and currently keep geese and chickens, when I was younger I kept budgerigars, I would love to again, but would have to build an outdoor heated Avery as our resident JRT terrier would find it a wee bit exciting having bird life in the house!
I live in the rolling hills of the Herefordshire countryside in the UK and luck enough to have enough land for my hobby.
After keeping geese and chickens for a number of years have come to the conclusion that chickens are wonderfully daft, great diggers and veg patch clearer's! And geese are blessed with a bit more brain power, a detonate inquisitive and mischief making attitude, I mean what else is a pile of logs for but to dismantle!
Unfortunately our chickens can not free roam as next doors veg patch is too much of a lure! But they do reside in a very large enclosed pen with plenty of fresh greenery everyday and lots to perch on and things to hide under, this summer they will be getting a swing! And of course I will be photographing the making of and their reaction!
We have a saying...chicken TV!
As everyday the geese stand and watch the antics of the chickens and its known as chicken TV!
